The Fever Lab allows a small group of artists to come together to form a company who will work together for four days. The lab is a highly dynamic and creative programme, based on Tristen’s practice of physical theater; suitable for participants with an interest in extending their knowledge and practice of devising and physicality techniques. The Fever Kinetic’s Artistic Director Tristen ZiJuin, is currently pursuing his postgraduate studies at Drama Studio London and has developed movement which has been performed at Istana Budaya (National Theatre Malaysia), Damansara Performing Arts Centre, 10 Square Singapore and more. He has also been nominated and won for the BOH Cameronian Arts Award and Mercedes Benz Creative Excellence Award Recipient
The Advanced Training programme will build upon these skills and put them into practice.
Work closely Tristen ZiJuin to develop and build work based on his pratice: The Fever Formula
Create complex choreography through simple beginnings; identifying moments when movement and text meet to create richness and where text and movement could be separated to denote its influence
Find depth in movement, learn what movement affords and weigh its affordance
Allow for movement and choreography to arise from bodies in space rather than creating movement and choreography and putting it on bodies
This course is aimed at either those with professional experience in some area of performance and/or those that are in training/pre professionals. If you have any questions at all, please email thefeverkinetic@gmail.com
